Remember that MCM desk I was working on in my stories last week?? Well here she is, in all her glory. Every 👏 single 👏 inch 👏 of her has been refinished. Her exterior was sanded all the way back to the bare wood, re-stained, and sealed (several times). She has brand-new wooden peg legs, featuring shiny new, brass-capped feet, and all new hardware. Her drawers were not only refinished on the outside, but the interiors were washed, sanded (to remove any extra gunk) and lined with a neutral, linen-finish paper. I also added a subtle, peek-a-boo accent to her drawer sides. After the amount of hours invested into her reincarnation, I felt she deserved a little extra flair. ❤
She was manufactured by Joern's Bros Furniture Co in the late 1950's, and is as sturdy as they come. You will find their manufacturer's mark inside her top right drawer, along with a stamped date on the bottom of the drawer, possibly narrowing down her production time to the very day. This may be my favorite piece to date, and I actually thoroughly enjoyed the process. (I can't say that about all my projects lol.)

Her look was completed using @minwaxusa "Special Walnut" and @dixiebellepaint "Satin" clear coat. The drawer details were done with the Dixie Belle "Botanical" silk-screen stencil and their "Palmetto" chalk mineral paint. They were then also sealed in their "Satin" clear coat.
